Graduate Program

This hands-on, four-day program is available to those who have either completed the first two years of the school or to those who have accumulated 10 years of experience in campground management.  The class size is kept small for an in-depth examination of your own business operation, utilizing discussion and small group case studies.

Topics include:
• Financial terms and formulas to evaluate your current business standing
• Appropriately aggressive rate-setting for seasonal and overnight sites
• When to make capital investments and how to choose capital projects
• Using a business plan to evaluate your business and predict growth outcomes

All participants will be provided an electronic form prior to class to gather their facility’s historical financial and occupancy data to use in class to evaluate their park.  This data may be submitted ahead of class for inclusion in additional class discussions and case studies.  For those that are not able to obtain historicakl data for their park or for those that are not affiliated with a park, sample data will be provided for the class activities.

All graduate program students will need access to a laptop computer for of the course. If you do not have one, please indicate that on the registration form and  the school will make arrangements for you to rent one.
